BOSS ME-50B Random Switching Issue

Hello!
I have a BOSS ME-50B which I have gotten from a friend a few years back, he also had it for about 2-3 years before giving it to me.
I love the little pedal and I've taken it to gigs and practice alike but about a year ago it started to develop a problem.

As you see here, this is the options for the Drive/Synth effects.
The knob that is used fixes itself in each marked position, it doesn't turn smoothly, as with every other knob on the board that has fixed positions.

The problem I am having with almost all of these fixed-position knobs is that, say in this instance, I have it set to the 12oclock (METAL) position, randomly during play it will switch over and back from the 1oclock position (HI-BAND).

This is a pattern that is persistent throughout the board with the fixed-position switches.
An octave up could flick to the octave down for no reason on the Filter/Tone section, Flanger could turn into Chorus on the Delay/Modulation section, and finally, the setting on the Expression pedal could get switched one option ahead of where it's supposed to be too.

In my searching the last few months I haven't seen anyone with the same problem which has made me very confused.

I currently have the pedal all taken apart so i could take a look at the circuit board for any obvious problems, but when I took it apart i noticed this that concerned me a bit at first:

As you see there's some black burned marks around the copper rods that I suspect act as the ground for the power.
I have no idea if this is just how they're assembled in the factory and welded, or if something has happened since I got it to make it turn out like this.

Other than that, there is nothing obviously wrong with the board to my eyes, no capacitors are looking bulged, nothing looks to be leaking or blackened at all in a similar fashion.

I'm at wits end here and I'm posting around to a few forums to see if anyone who knows better can give me a hand or some insight.

Thank you!

P.S, here's a video of the problem happening during play, I've edited the fade in/out to skip to the parts where it happens.
In this instance, it is changing between Metal and Hi-Band without me touching it.
