This is an original Bossa Obj5, back on the block, it has served me well, but a recent bass purchase warrants the movement of some basses not being played much. Good condition with normal wear, a few dings & some finish scuffing around “slap” area. Ash body w/ 3-piece Maple bolt-on neck, 24 fret Ebony fingerboard, Bossa Dual Coil humbuckers, powerful 3-band 18-volt active preamp with internal pickup trim pots, Bossa's unique 2-way coil tap switch and gold hardware. The scale length is 34". String spacing at the bridge is 18mm and the width at the nut is 1 3/4". Frets are in nice shape, electronics all work perfectly. Typical bit of tarnishing on gold hardware, & a little finish wear on back of neck, it’s been played but still in nice shape. 9.2 lbs on my scale, $1300 shipped Con Us, PayPal ok. No international. Hard shell case included. I don’t need anymore basses really, would prefer a sale, however May consider a trade +- cash on High end preamps- Glockenklang, Pope, Alembic.. Or perhaps a Glockenklang Blue Rock or Heart Rock amp.
I can’t believe your selling this again! I bought this bass from Afc70 and he missed it so much, he bought it back! It is the real deal authentic Bossa with Original electronics. One of the best tb members I’ve ever met too! I’m tempted to have a 2nd go at it.
Yes, I thought I’d never sell it again, but I’m purchasing a really cool Curbow Petite 5 next week, so I’m moving a couple basses. If it doesn’t move, I’ll be content to keep the Bossa no doubt. Hope all is well!
no problem.. I had no idea either about the difference.. but I too own an OBJ5 as well and it forced me to look into it. great basses.
Yes, I’ve got it set at a great price Imo, I’ve seen Obj5’s sell in the $1600 range actually. & they aren’t making these anymore. They are indeed great basses!
I’m very motivated to move this Bossa, I rarely play it anymore, just bought an amazing Curbow Petite, make an offer on this killer bass! Edit: Potential deal in the works...
Back on the market, I’m playing my newly acquired Yamaha TrbJP2 6 string most of the time, so I’m moving other basses that are not being played. Make me an offer, I’m motivated to get this great bass into somebody’s hands, who likes these sleeper gems.
You know I took those pics in my backyard! Such an awesome bass I really am tempted to grab it again!
She hasn’t been played much at all since I bought it back from you.. Great bass, I’m just really playing my Yamaha 6 most of the time these days. Thanks for the interest!
This is on the back side of body, it’s not real big. It’s a pretty clean bass for its age, but has been played. Typical , normal wear for a bass that’s probably 15 years old at least.
