hey guys, i just received my BOTTOM FEEDER today. i found some nice setting but i need some suggestions to those who owns it here at TB. what's your setting? anybody? thanks! will try it tonight at the gig! i hope it cuts through my style of music.

bottom feeder setting

anybody else using the bottom feeder? come on guys, i know its just not me and tayste who's using it. pls post your setting, or any ideas, experiences you have with the bottom feeder. it'll be a big help for me. thanks

yep...I have one...and think it's a great filter...I think it's set at about:
10 o'clock 3 o'clock...
there is a slight volume spike...but not bad enough to bother me...and it's nice and quacky...

i used it last night on my gig, i can't get the quacky sound you were saying. does it has something to do with my active bass? i'm using a sadowsky ms5. i'm still trying to get the right mix for me to fit in my band, i'm kinda lost a bit. can you suggest me something? i'm trying to get that fast quack for my fast lines. is this possible?
My favourite setting is both at about 10-11 o' clock. It gets a great 'wet' filter sound that I love.

hmmm....dunno if it's your bass or not...I use mainly active Spector Basses and the bottom feeder gets nice and quacky for me...
If I play light, the filter effect basically goes away, so it's sensitive to how much you are "digging" in...
well, maybe i just have to spend some time with it, it's only one day old anyway. i'm sure it's a fine piece of equipment, i heard and read a lot of good things about it. i think i need to tweak it and find my own setting. thanks anyway guys for the reply! i think i will keep it. cheers!
Tbh, it took me a couple of days of fiddling around until I found my favourite settings. Your gear is most likely different to mine, tayste's, fishtx's and Max Robert's so I think it's one of those effects that you need to play with yourself. I actually don't remember my favourite settings, but I know roughly where they are (it takes about 20 secs to find them once I've plugged in).

My favorite setting for my red 442(same pedal) are 1 o clock level and 11 o clock range. The I crank the range for synthiness with fuzz sounds.

i know i will like it. i had the same feeling when i just bought my sadowsky. i've been using my streamer S1 for 3 years and i thought it sounded better. now i'm sold with my sadowsky, specially hearing it from a big PA system last saturday. we opened a concert for this popular guy here in thailand. his band name is LOSO. man that sadowsky is awesome! plus all my pedals, worth it!
