Boxing Mouthguards

How do you fit these things???? Mine didn't come with instructions...

Do you put it in hot water for 10 seconds and then bite and then repeat then in cold water?

I'm stumped...as usual.

boil water, stick the mouthguard in, take it out after a few seconds, stick'er in your mouth, bite down, but not through it, keep it in for either 45 seconds or a minute, i can't remember, and then put it in cold water. put the mouthguard back in your mouth, and punch yourself in the face.
the cold water cools the mouthguard so the teethmarks stay in...

It's also nice to wash them with a toothbrush and paste once in a while. Mm, minty mouthguards..

Best thing is to crush up mints to a sort of fine powder.. Then sprinkle some in before you wear it.. Mmmmm.

Other flavours can be used.. but, well, tend not to be as 'fresh' after a while.

For my rugby mouthguards, a quick rinse with water did the job minutes before kick off. I honestly never thought of mints.

They're either brave or stupid. I wouldn't play without one. In fact, there's a mouth guard inspection before each half where I play.
