Brand loyal collections

Is anyone else brand loyal with their collections? I personally love ebmm. I have a 2 stingray 4h, 1 stingray 5h, 1 slo special, 2 sterling 4h and 1 sterling classic.

A few years ago, I had 3 Mike Lulls and 2 Stingrays at one time. But for some reason I can’t figure out, I started feeling all practical and grown-up and stuff. So I sold all but one of them, my heart & soul forever bass, my 2018 Lull Jazz-style bass.

Since then, I bought a Stingray Special. And I’ve come across several deals on Lulls and Stingrays. But each time, I was able to step back, take a breath, and tuck my GAS away. After about 24 hours, the urge to splurge subsides….

Well, kinda….😁😁

My current collection has two Gold Tones, two Ken Bebensees (I've had three others previously), a Tiny Boy which I may get their Jazz style uke if they make it lefty, a Kala which I may get another if they make it fretless and a Lignum which I may get another in 6 string. I've also had several Status Graphites which were marvelous basses.

I didn't plan it this way, but I guess I am somewhat brand loyal. I have three Godin basses and two parts basses made with Warmoth bodies and necks. I don't really shop around for basses anymore, except to search for Godin basses every now and then on kijiji or Reverb to see if there are any intriguing deals out there. And if/when I assemble another parts bass, I cannot imagine going anywhere other than Warmoth for the body and neck.

Ask if there's brand loyalty on a gear forum😂

I've ended up with a lot of fender, but that's mainly because I'm old and they were the only real pro option when I started playing out. I have zero loyalty to any private equity brand. My current favorite player is an Ibanez when I need bass guitar.
