Breathing While Alternate Picking

You know, if you forget to breathe long enough, something will kick in and force you to breathe anyway, so don't worry so much about it unless you regularly pass out.

The secret to longevity is---keep breathing. LOL.

Hey, no worries, pal, you'll survive. I do what you're talking about sometimes at various activities:

When focusing my telescope.
When lining up a board under the cut-off saw.
When maneuvering a tricky curve on my motorcycle.
When watching girls with those low-cut jeans dance at a gig.

Haven't passed out yet.

if you stop breathing it means you are concentrating too hard on the other activity. you need to practice at slower more relaxed tempos and little by little increase the tempo during your practice time - making sure that you are continuing to breathe and remain relaxed. practice and self awareness and progressive training...
