Brice AS Les Paul Style Short Scale

I'm just realizing for the first time that the Les Paul style basses at
RondMusic are - short scale. Wow, I'd Love one of those.

Big problem for me is - the weight. The weight is 11 lbs.
Ouch. That would kill my neck.

Anyone have one of these?

Could you imagine this bass with a chambered body?

I've never thought that Les Paul guitars were very comfortable sitting or standing, so I wouldn't think this one would be either. Though I love the look of them.

I've been GASing after several basses on Rondo, but I never paid much attention to Brice's short scale basses. I've never owned a short scale bass, but this thing really has me curious. Plus the humbucker right there at the neck... something else that I currently don't have in my arsenal. Interesting... does anyone own one of these or has played one?

Hello! Sorry to ressurect a long dead thread but I just found one of these basses used and someone decided to sand the headstock and install a fake Gibson "veneer" made out of pickguard material.

I would like to know the original manufacturer etc just for personal knowledge.
