Brice HXB-408 8 String bass 35' scale

I know I'm going to be looking for an 8 string bass in about a year or two, I have the money but just bought a 4 string so I figure I shouldn't les G.A.S take control. I though about the Rogue 8 string but used ones are going for around $400 and I could get a used Shector for a little more. However the Brice caught my eye a 35' scale 8 string with active/passive MM and J pickups, seems similar to the Rogue but I think the Brice might be a better idea 35' scale also is $340 new as opposed to $400 used for a $200 bass that is discontinued. Does anybody have one of these? Would they recommend it? What about Brice itself as a company? Did you think the neck is chunky? I was thinking maybe getting the pickups replaced if they weren't great. Does it sound balanced or is it favoring the treble or bass strings? Thank you.

Link Removed
I can't find it either, I just got the link I assume it's still on sale. It really looks great.
Rondo removes links when items go out of stock, but keeps the pages up should they ever go on sale again. So, who knows when you can buy this from them, as it could be anytime between tomorrow and forever.

Might be best to email Kurt at Rondo to see if he will ever stock it again.
