Bridge Cover on Fender Jazz

Would putting one of these on my bass effect my ability to play in anyway? I do slap and pop and am curious.

I used some pickguard screws when I put a neck pickup cover. I took one out of the bottom side and one out of the top. Doing that also leaves some space for putting picks in and everything.

The chrome covers use normal pickguard screws.
The bridge cover can't possibly be in your way while you slap and pop.
