Broken X2 wireless system...help please!

Hey guys
I bought a used (but in great condition) Line6 X2 wireless system here on TB a few weeks back. It's the stomp-box sized version, not the rackmount. The problem is that it will randomly stop making sound, even though each pack says that signal is being transmitted (as far as I remember, I don't remember checking the transmitter), regardless of power supply (9 volt or 1spot), used with other pedals or straight from the receiver to my head, or my distance. It's gone bad at two shows and rehersal once, so location doesnt seem to be an issue.

I'm going to borrow my guitarist's system and test to see if it is the receiver or the transmitter that is the problem, and if I can get a replacement from line6 or used..that's all I can think of to do.
Anybody else have this problem? What can I do to fix it?

Thanks

I've heard of this problem before - when the screwed-down cable jack that attaches your bass to the transmitter isn't secured completely. If you've already performed a continuity test on the cable, I'd check the screwed-down connection next.

Good advice. I've had the tiny nut on the transmitter back off the jack and cause a cut out. Loctite fix, Blue not Red Loctite BTW

I have a love hate relationship with mine. Great unit and sounds better than anything else i've used for bass. However the battery pack side is terrible. I recently had to replace the battery clip inside as the wires were pulling out. I had random drops as well due to temp. loss of power but could never see my transmitter at the time. Turned out there was only a sengle strand left in contact. Check that first. I snipped the wires clean and soldered a replacement end. Now the battery cavity is almost tor tight to close. As I said a love hate. I wish they would redsign the case.
