Gorgeous grain on that thumb!

Yes sir. i agree. its the tone and playability that got me as well but the killer grain made me not to hesitate buying it. im a happy camper sir. Cheers!

The figuring of the Bubinga on that Thumb NT is among the best I've seen. Nice score, @darkhalf.

Thank you bro @Erithon. i had the same thoughts man. it was hard for me not to pull the trigger as The Gas on this one was immense. Cheers sir.

I had a Crown XLS 1002 arrive today and the first preamp I played through it was the Archetype mains into 2 Genzler BA15-3 cabs. Very, very nice.

At band practice, I ran Omnicomp > LowRider > Studio1 into the same power & cabs. The clarity, punch, and heft was perfect, but the best part was it's all in the board.
I should dig my XLS power amp out of storage.

I feel you.
Ppl these days can't measure crap.

I need 11 33/64"..
Not 11 1/2"..
Not 11 17/32"..

What are they teaching kids these days anyaways?
I was shocked when i went back to school to get an AA. They showed up in pajamas for a 4:00 class…They know plusses and minusses ok, but they need work on their timeses sometimes. Don’t EVEN try them on their goesintos. I tried to layout a simple explanation for basic algebra for one of my lab partners; 2 x 5 = 10, 10/5 = 2…The kid was 20, graduated from high school, working as an EMT, but had never had algebra. It wasn't just him… They thought i was Einstein because i could do basic computation in my head.

I can convert metric to SAEnglish in my head down to thousands of an inchworm and in reverse.
I should be in line for some kind of cranial participation award any day now.

something about metric that I can’t see in a country that does metric. :smug:

You should arrange to leave your brain to Science- AFTER you pass on- make sure to get that part in writing.

One day in the future they will burn you at the stake as a witch/wizard because you can do math in your head.

Heres one that blew their doors off: Celsius to Fahrenheit conversation. It was a HVAC class. The instructor was a special case as well. He would throw a Celsius temperature out there and ask the crowd to convert it to Fahrenheit. I could do it in less than three seconds. They thought i was a wizard. Simply double the figure, subtract a tenth, add 32. The instructor was convinced i had a hidden device somewhere on my person. He was genuinely miffed. I took special care not to show him up from that point on. I never told them about this apparently arcane and mystical sorcery I possessed. I would instead feign a seizure of sorts, roll my eyes around for a brief moment and spit the answer out as if i were temporarily possessed by some sort of mathematical demon.

The metric system :p

Hopefully metric. :p

Well, we work in metric quite a bit at my job, yet few contractors we work with has a metric measuring tape. And the ones that do get confused with reading anything above 1000mm. We have components that span to 2060mm and I'm the only one that can differientiate between pieces.
