It's crazy this is the only bv3000 in talkbass circulation. I'd like Auntie B to get her tail twisted to fix it properly, and cut out the b/s telling you lies about what's happening with it.

Bugera BVV3000 Infinium Red Fault No Power

Yea i know i wouldn't want to rip off my brother bassists out there, what worries me the most is fixing it again selling it and it still fails.
yea, anyone know who to contact in the Bugera organization for lemon law refunds?
ya know i bet these amps are ok, the problem with my case was with zzounds when I ordered it they had 2 in stock, 1 refurb, 1 brand new so I opted for the new one. I am sure they sent me the refurbed one, they refused to talk to me because this issue happened after their 30 day window. bugera support did a 180 on me and sent back the amp still with issues. Sounds great when it works though heh when it works.

With a cable plugged in it could be just a sign of a high gain stage design picking up house wiring noise. If it is not present with the cable un-plugged the amp is okay, your bass may have a shielding problem or you could have a TV in operation in the same room or same circuit?

Without a regulated DC heater supply, the mains frequency (or the ripple) is everpresent in the signal, just the nature of the things. Some designs hum more, some less.
Humming with the input contact(s) open, ie. the cord attached, is often a result of passive PU's and/or inadequate shielding.
Since the mains filtering is usually non-existant on the cheapos, the interference can come through the mains supply as well, but then it's seldom the mains frequency that seeps through.

so jj i see u returned the blacksmith..... ya i couldnt justify 2500 for that amp (but look at me..i spent 1400 on the fender 610 neo) anyways does this put ur BVV3000 back in the driver seat? Have u been pushin it hard? Thanks for the update.
The amp was nice I need a stereo ampwith that power rating to drive 4ea 4 ohm cabs @ 2ohms per side I would have to either buy all new speakers or another amp and slave em. either way its between $2800 to $5000 investment.

I am looking at high power stereo bass heads that can handle the load like ampeg 4pro or gk2001rb between $1200 & $1600
I was goung to by another bugera and slave it just don't trust it.
Its up for sale, been working fine, when I swap tube position out the red light goes away for awhile on socket 5 never comes on the socket i swap it to so infinium needs to be improved.
when it works its a beast.

Ok so this was a lot of great info thanks guys. So my final question is simple. When I play out I use a SWR with an 8x8 cab love it. But when I am at home I want something much smoother and cleaner that I can get a more vintage sound with for my P-bass. I have the cash to buy an SVT but want to know if the Bugara can give me what I want....maybe save the cash for the next purchase. Your thougts?

My story is similar to others. Needed an amp. Specs and tube promise sound great. But ultimately; you get what you pay for. Next time, for me, I will not look for a deal or shortcut.
But my main reason for posting is to share the inside of this head.
It has two preamp tubes inside the smaller preamp chassis. 12ax7a x2. Interesting that you have to pull everything apart to get to them.
No caps are visibility damaged or exploded. There are 7 fuses. I will try to get replacement fuses and hope it fixes my fault light.
