Would anybody have any experience taking apart their Bugera Veyron amp at all and had a look at the voltage input side of it by chance ? Mine is 240 now and I will need it to be used on 120 VAC.
I'll be using my amp in North America eventually and was curious how easy it would be to convert the voltage over. They seem to be region specific models but in some instances they are simple to swap over either via a wire on the board or an internal switch. In the old days it was a tap off the transformer but this is a class D likely using a chopper circuit.
And ...
Yes, I know I can just buy or rent an amp over there.
Yes, I know I could use a 120 to 240 Volt upconverter for it.
Yes, I could just sell this one and buy one over there set for the local voltage.
Yes, I could just take mine apart and look for myself.
I am an electronics engineer and could safely do the work myself - Just wondering has anyone had theirs apart and had a look at the voltage input section by chance ?
Thanks ...
