I love this rack and might have to order one. I pointed it out to my wife last night, figuring she'd be happy I was finding a way to organize my music room. Instead, she said, "You only have two basses. Why would you buy a rack that holds four?" I guess she's not as smart as I thought she was!!!
Sounds like she's pretty smart to me! They have a 2, 3, or 4 bass model but I like that you're planning ahead with the 4-bass unit. There's not that much of a price break for the smaller units.
My theory is that there is a "magic" number for each spouse that constitutes the break from a finite number of basses to "all those basses." For my wife and the electric bass, this number is four. Once I got to 4 she couldn't keep up with which one was which. It helps to have similar finishes but other details don't seem to matter much (fretted or fretless, 4, 5, or 6 string: it doesn't matter.) This brings up the real problem with the DB. The darn things are too expensive and too big to pull this off.
