Buying strings from TalkBass? Awesome!

Just a quick shout-out to the gang at TalkBass. Just bought some La Bella DTF, and the strings came fast, and boxed! Boxed!

I have always hated getting strings in a soft mailer. Never a box. Now, TalkBass has me spoiled! My strings came in a box! Also, the package of strings was perfect; it did not look like people in shipping had been stomping on it!

Yup, just placed an order on Thursday, they do a great job. I refuse to order from the other place that lots of people on here like…really, really, really made me mad one time.

This thread made me curious enough to send them an email to inquire about the shipping cost involved in ordering from Canada. They told me $20 USD.

I think I'll stick with my usual dealer (based in the US) who charges less than $5 for shipping to Canada.

I have been buying from Strings By Mail recently. Prior vendors seem to not have what I like in stock and I have waited weeks for strings, but John at SBM has always shipped immediately with no hassle. That's important to me because I play a lot and when I need strings, I need them fast.
