Buzz guitars

A local guitar shop just rolled out their own bass guitar brand. The bodies and necks come from an undisclosed Japanese manufacturer. Then they take care of the finish, hardware and electronics. I'd say it's like selling a kit guitar, except it's made by pros and from quality parts.

Aside from that, they buy vintage Japanese guitars, renew them, set them up and resell them. I bought my Aerodyne from them and it's a really good player.

Their first prototypes are up for sale and are priced at round $1050

I think the demos sound really good, but we won't know how much studio magic is going on here.

Nice bass. I notice a distinct high-mid twanginess throughout all the playing--is that the dominant voicing of the pickups or simply the recording mix magic preferred by them?. Not that it sounds bad. Sometimes it sounds good---although almost as if the bass were a one trick pony. I am sure the bass is well made, but I'd really have to play it with a variety of EQ settings as well to see it's response.
Well, either way, best of luck to them.
