Buzz on the 7th fret.

I have a precision bass and start to make a horrible buzz on the 7th and 8th fret of every string, i have loose like 1/8 of a turn (2 times) the truss rod, but that noise is still there...what do you think it is? I have to raise the nut? The bright? Move more the trussrod?

Stop making random adjustments to things that don't have anything to do with the problem.

Check the 7th, 8th and 9th frets. One or more is either lower or higher than it should be.

Fret the instrument at the first fret and the last fret before the heel. See if you have any space at all under the afflicted frets. If the strings are resting on these frets but not on he frets close to where you are fretting, you probably have a bit of a back bow and loosing the truss rod a bit more is in order.

There is an ordered methodology to address issues like this. My suggestions:
  1. Do some in-depth research on guitar setup and THEN carefully make the needed adjustments, or....
  2. Take your instrument to a qualified luthier
