There seems to be a strange buzzing noise on the 7th and 19th fret of my D string on my fender standard jazz. Anybody know what may be causing this buzzing?

    Thanks

  2. Is it fret buzz?

"The string vibrating against the fret because it is too low?"

7th and 19th? Thats quite random, sounds like a few high frets.

it only buzzes like that on the 7th and 19th fret on the d string. all the other strings dont buzz as much.

  5. It sure sounds like a couple of high frets to me. It is interesting, however, that the note at both the 7th and 19th frets is A...an octave apart. Just a thought, have you made sure your strap buttons are screwed in tight? I have had mine vibrate loose and create buzzes.
