Hi to all,
I'm having a buzz problem with my old (40's) Kay. All the open strings buzz when I pluck them hard at certain angles which happens when I'm slapping. I have just started to notice this more & more as I'm getting better at slapping. Is this a setup thing? My action is pretty high compared to most rockabilly guys. I have tried to source out the buzz....but it doesn't seem to be from any thing rattling and the fact that it happens on all open strings makes me think the strings are hitter the fingerboard. Is this a case where I should bring it to my luthier for a setup? Could this of happened because my house is dry? Should I just learn how to avoid this sound? I'm using innovation slap strings.
Thanks for any help you can give!
thanks!!
