Cab for Carvin BX500

I'm really into bands like Dream Theater, Rush, Spock's Beard, Porcupine Tree, Animals As Leaders, Pink Floyd, and Phish.

Right now I'm playing a Jazz Bass and a Carvin BX500. It's a great little amp, but I'm not super happy with my current cab. I got the BX500 in combo form with the 210 cab. (The BR510 [Invalid or Expired Link Removed])

I feel like I don't get as good of low end as I would like. (Maybe this could be an EQ issue I don't know how to deal with.)

My guitar buddy plays through a Fender Super Reverb. You know, the big 100w 410 one. :crying: (but there's a volume knob for a reason.)

I appreciate any tips, advice, sandwiches you may have for me.

This morning, while I had the house to myself, I wanted to see how loud I could get with my current setup. I turned the Drive and Master knobs to roughly 3 o'clock. It was pretty loud for being inside the living room. I worry about keeping up with other people playing though.
I read on here that more speakers in the key to getting more volume. I like the idea of a modular set up, like a 112 and 112 or 210 and 210. I don't know how that would be volume wise.

Yes, more spkrs = more volume. Bigger is better, but 2x 210's is a good start. personally, I'd go 2x 212's, for the win. usually, a single 212 is all I ever need, and it's loud. Just don't skimp on the spkrs, they are the most important part of your rig.
