Cabinet issues?

So i bought these cabinets today, a markbass 1X15 and a 2X10 to compliment the LMII head i have, I get to my place and plug in the bass and it sounds like it's barking at me...like the speakers are on overload. The only variables are the bass and the head, but which does this issue sound more like? Could my bass be putting out too much signal due to the pickup height or something? or is it b/c I dropped my LMII head on a hard tile floor a while ago?

have you done any basic troubleshooting e.g. try different bass, try head w/ different cabs, try cabs w/ different heads--and all permutations thereof?

Yeah, you have to try several things before you can come to a conclusion. Me, I'd put money on the dropping it. Never ever heard of MB stuff "barking."
