Hey, all. I've got an Axe-Fx II+ that I bought primarily for guitar in my little home studio. It's pretty much the single most expensive piece of gear I own, so now I find myself trying to get some nice bass tones out of it for recording.
I've seen plenty of nice demos where the Axe-Fx is used to create killer models for rock-oriented stuff: like an SVT rig with high input gain settings, lots of growl -- the kind of tones that include some high-gain distortion, in other words.
What I haven't really seen much of is demos of warm, more jazz-oriented sounds. (So, as a frame of reference: my idols are guys like Gary Willis.)
So, to Axe-Fx users, what are your favorite amp/cab combos and settings, what effects do you tend to use when creating bass amp sims, and what do you do for mellower, jazzier tones?
