Double Bass Can a Walter Woods blue light handle 2.67 ohm load?

Howdy folks. I'm guessing the answer is no, but hoping a blue light WW electracoustic can handle a 2.67 ohm load. Does anyone have any experience with this? How'd it work out? Thanks, DM

No , Walter explicitly states that you're not supposed to go below a 4 Ohm load. You could potentially dammage the amplifier. "You may use as many speakers as desired. However, the total impedance of all speakers must never be less than 4 Ohms per

power amp and 4 Ohms bridge mode." This is right out of the owners pages for the Electroacoustic serieis.

Well, "manual" is kind of a strech. It's three pages of instructions for the amp, that came with the original purchase. It's in the TB threads somewhere. If you can't find it PM me
and I'll take pictures with the iPhone.

I agree with this, that's what is printed on the bottom of mine. Parallel jacks, total minimum load 4 ohms.

Walter's amps were designed before the onset of all the new 4 Ohm cabinets hit the market. Their RMS output is rated at a 8 Ohm load not 4 ohm.
