hey jmj.
first of all, I'm an avid reader of your forum and I just can't thank you enough for all the insights you provide.
second: we (Elephant) have just released a (self-produced) videclip for our upcoming (self-produced) album.
getting your opinion on our song would be just great for me.

if you have time and will, here it is: YouTube - Elephant - No Euphoria [videoclip]

rock n roll from italy. :hyper:

cheers!

great sound you got going, the production is a bit much for me, but it sounds cool.
the vocals aren't bad if you ask me, I likte this type of stuff, so I'm a bit biased! :D
not to steal your thread, but there's no point in creating a new one, so I thought I'd chime in with a new project I got together, so here's a clip

im gonna agree about the vocals, i think id have enjoyed it more as an instrumental, but i am biased towards instrumental music soo....

all the playing was good and i thought it well produced, and the video too.

also your bass tone is abolutely killer, especially in that intro section.

THis is overall quite good! Beautiful slinky bass playing and sound, as well as a good synergy between you and the drummer that really comes alive in the second verse. I think those explosive moments where the whole mix sounds like it's being bit crushed are a little too dominating and take you away from the song, but that's ok, it's still fun. The singer needs to evolve a bit and become more open and unrestrained. All that aside, it's good. Keep doing what you guys are doing!

thank you all SO MUCH for all the useful feedback.
I think it's kind of reassuring to realize that somehow your thoughts reflect our own doubts on the song.
again, thanks so much!
this is truly inspiring...
