About a year or so ago I began experiencing numbness in my plucking hand. It finally began to affect my playing. I love what I do and am not ready to give it up. I finally went to doctors. (not a big fan of the medical community, but became desperate). I was referred to a neurologist of good reputation. After extensive testing was diagnosed with carpal tunel in both hands. (although symptoms are primarily in the right hand). I've been scouring the internet for some help. Found some fairly effective exercises and stretches but I may need the surgery. I should also mention that I spent 30 plus years as a mason. This is clearly causation. I'm in a working band that I'm very happy with and would hate to give it up. I'm hoping some of you have experience with this and could tell me how you dealt with it. Thank you in advance for any information you could share.
