Come on guys, what is it with TB and carrots? Why do I find that practically everywhere, especially in polls?

It's just TB folk lore.
Once upon a long time ago (in a galaxy far, far away), there was a poll where no response seemed appropriate, and so the option of "Carrots" was added as a humorous alternative to "Doesn't matter; I don't care". It caught on. Nothing more sophisticated than that.

Hi I been on & off this site for more than 10 years and was wondering who started the option of carrots and why carrots?
I guess at the moment I have too much time on my hands
The original may indeed be lost.i started that by adding a moronic option to moronic-to-begin-with polls, thus giving non-morons the option to make known their protest of rampant moronicity by passive resistance against the poll taker's agenda.
it's a true measure of the moronicism embraced by many poll-makers that they now include, unprompted, the method by which they themselves can be circumvented.
