Carter Beauford Vs John Bonham

Kidding aside, I just think Bonham, Beauford, Keltner and Purdie are all great drummers - and we could go on, of course. No need to talk about who's "better". They're all great, they've all made some great music and they're all different.

Anybody who says any one of them is "better" than any of the others without even considering context is oversimplifying and missing the point, really - about drummers, and about music.

But anyway - and just for fun - even in the company of Cobham, Peart, Paice, Bruford, Krupa, Roach, Palmer, Gadd, Porcaro et al, there's really only one possible choice for greatest drummer of all time.

;)

True however all of us who are not in the Danny Partridge or Jermaine Jackson position of playing in the family band has to put ourselves out there and face the "who is the better" fit or monetary value question.

That being said since I am on the other side of the ethnic divide I had to google John Bonham since I knew of Carter Beauford from his DVD with Victor Wooten first and the DMB secondarily
