Carvin B800 mod to rack mount??

hmm.. the one I saw do it just stuck it on a rack shelf using the rubber feet. Seems like the simplest way and also as the chassis is mostly uncovered, it would get a lot of dust on it, and I wouldn't like all that exposed space. The case also keeps the airflow running nicely, and just sticking it on a rack shelf would be the quickest and easiest.

Yeah, sitting both amps on shelves (still in their cases) won't work for me, since they'd take up my whole rack. And, the dust that would collect in the uncovered chassis is the other hurdle that I'm working against.

So far, I think the "upside down rack shelf mounted to the top of each amp" idea is the best option. I'm going to pick one of the amps up tonight, so I can see if a shelf will be deep enough.
