Hi there. I was searching for sound clips of these cabs to no avail. Could somebody explain what the sound difference between the regular and neo speakers would be? I'm looking for a more classic/vintage sound. Do the neo speakers produce less midrange?
I'll bump this, because I'm thinking about either the BR410 or the 210 version. I also wonder if the BR410 sounds much like the Ampeg 410HE, both being sealed cabs.
Call Carvin in San Diego and ask for Flock. Smart guy.
My experience with cabs, NEO or not, is you can EQ up the vintagey with a good head regardless. I've read that you get clearer mids with NEO's, and that's good in my book because you can take away what is there but can't really add what isn't. The NEO's are lighter too so I would get those.
