Carvin BX500 owners, which cab?

I've used it with a Markbass 104HR (4x10) or an old Carvin RL-210 (2x10), both at 4 ohms. I highly recommend the Markbass, which is good match for the wattage and gets great volume and tone while being only slightly larger than the average 2x10 (it's around 5 inches higher and 5 pounds heavier than the Carvin 2x10, other dimensions more or less identical).

For some reason I keep thinking a pair of Baer ML112's would actually be a ripping good match for that head, which I am familiar with. Carvin does make a decent 112, the AG. Affordable too but not a top-ender like the Baer.

:bassist:

I'm with Fenderson. If you can afford it, get two quality single 12" cabs. You'll be surprised at the volume and tone you'll get with one of them powered by 300 watts, which is what the Carvin puts out at 8 ohms. When you need more, just add the second cab. That's what I do.
I would check out the ACME 12" cabs also. They have two of them designed to compliment each other when stacked.

I've never even heard of Baer. I'll be checking into that. I've tried multiple versions of 10" speaker cabs, also have used 15"s, and 18"s. Never tried 12"s. For awhile I was hot to trot for a pair of matching 2x12 avatar cabs.

I have the Avatar SB112 and like it. My Carvin MB10 combo sits on top of it for a great rehearsal rig. The SB112 is a bigger, ported box and sounds almost like a 115 instead of a 112, IMO. Two of them would cut it for sure.
