I've had the BX1200 Carvin Head for awhile now and its been working perfectly with the BR410 and BR115 Carvin Cabs (I connect with speakon cables by the way)...
3 weeks ago I plugged in to play and i noticed alittle buzz distortion sound going on...Didnt like it but whatever. The more I played the more the distorted sound got worse and would come and go. The other thing, I noticed that if I held a note it would distort after it got to a point...weird...
So I unplugged and tried different combinations of some Fender cabs I have...They also distorted... So I concluded its the head (Of course).
I was pissed off because I needed my rig for a gig
I turned it in to the repair shop. The head and one cab. 3 weeks later the guy reported no problems even after playing thru it for 3 hours...Pissed me off because I have to pay 20 bucks for nothing.
I brought it home today and plugged into just the 410s...Just like the repair guy did...(btw its not a basses fault because I have 4 basses I also have different cables and thats not the problem)
It played fine at first. Then sure enough it started to go kinda bad again! Then I plugged into the full stack and it was really really bad... (So just with one cab it was buzzing...Not too bad, but bad enough where I cant really play)(But with both cabs it full on sucks REALLY bad!)
Help, what should be the problem? Should I just turn the WHOLE rig in and see what he finds is the problem?
Please help I need this rig for another gig next week!
Thanks Guys.
