Carvin in-ear system

Not sure if it's still the case, but Carvin IEM systems used to be nothing more than a Nady with a different faceplate, which explains the poor quality. When it comes to in ears systems (well sound stuff in general), there is no free lunch. It's cheap for a reason, and the reason many people don't like in-ears is because they'd tried cheap stuff to begin with and had a bad experience. Stick to Shure PSM200's, Sennheisers, or even the Galaxy system and you'll be okay. If you give the Carvin's a shot be prepared to send them back if they don't live up to what you already have.

Do a search over here.[Invalid or Expired Link Removed] IIRC someone posted that they bought 3 carvin IEMs and sent them back a couple of times because they sounded like crap. Finally sold them for next to nothing and bought the psm200s.

Our band have been using the "new" EM900 Carvin inears for about a year now. They're working very well. Only problem we've had is one of the belt pack recievers locked up on a screen and we couldn't reset it. carvin sent a new unit next day, no problems since. We've never had any drop out issues and we do big stages, small stages, indoors, outdoors, other wireless devices and inears on stage, no issues.
Seems like the new Carvin IEM are MUCH better.

FWIW I did a little bit of research on the EM900 and it appears that the actual manufacturer is an Asian company called "OSP Audio". They sell it under their own brand name as well under the model name: WMS-400

Reviews are mixed for the most part. Here's a few links that I've found doing a quick search on both the Carvin and OSP...
