I got this head years ago new. Had an awful time tone for the longest time. The onboard eq seemed to always be a hindrance to me and was constantly a pissing me off until one day (duh) I turned it off and used my old eq pedal. Night and day. Tone was amazing and sounded great. still playing it to this day.

My back up is an RL1000. Of course the preamp is long gone in it, but I always used an RBI anyway. It's reliable and quiet. I used to like the tone well enough I suppose.

$120 is a good deal if you're going to keep it for a B rig, but I wouldn't bother with it if you just want to flip it.
