Carvin Redline 600

Bumping because I am very curious about identification when it comes to these amps.

How does one distinguish between the Series I, II or III amps. It doesn't seem to be printed on the face of any of the redline amps. Both the r600 and the r1000 are lacking any distinction when it comes to a series, just looking at photos. Is it printed smaller on the back side?

Thanks! I used to own one of these (an r600) and am curious about identifying a current model that is up for sale.

IIRC..........

I believe series I had cheap knobs
Series II had red metal knobs, a real tube in the pre, and NO speakons
Series III had speakons, and NO tube in the pre
