Carvin RL810T Speaker Replacement

Hey there, fairly new to the bass game and seeking some advice about replacing a speaker in my Carvin RL810T. When played at louder volumes, this particular speaker is midrangey and sounds blown. When I removed it, there were no specs on the actual speaker (guessing it's stock). Any idea what specs I should be looking for when buying a replacement speaker? Or, if there is a particular speaker I can buy to pop right in?

Appreciate any help or advice, the manual has the specs of the cab but I'm still unsure how to utilize them to purchase a new speaker. Thanks!

Can you post a picture of the rear of the speaker? Carvin used USA Eminence speakers for a long time, then later switched to Chinese made stuff. It would help to know which you have.

Hmm. I'm really confused here. It looks like the entire magnet assembely is missing from the back of the speaker? It looks like the voice coil and the inside of the dustcap is visible from the back? Hate to ask again, but maybe some different angles of the back? That can't be what I'm seeing.

Ummmm..I think those were the Neo speakers they offered in that cab for a short time...which is why the magnet seems different

Not sure they offered Neo in these. I think they quit offering this cab before Neo was a thing. Not positive though.

Ahh, sir, you are correct. The other speakers look like your picture, guessing the magnet fell off of this at some point. This is my first time trying to get this thing working since I bought it some time ago (came with the head I wanted). However, that helps significantly, I think. I'm thinking I should look for an 8 ohm, 200 watt speaker then.

Carvin re-branded Eminence drivers for their bass and PA cabs. Eminence's website could very likely help you find the exact replacement model.

These drivers show up on eBay fairly often, that would be one option.

They do on that series of Carvin speakers, though. I had two of those RL410T cabs. Was loading out one day and heard something thumping around in the cabinet. It was a magnet. Pulled the whole thing out; that magnet had been held on by about three drops of glue.

Speaker cabs were the one thing of theirs I'd say were decent. Their PA stuff sounded nice, that 810 the OP has I always thought sounded REAL nice.
