I'm really digging on the style of Cliff Bordwell's basses. Does anyone know where I can try one out in the NJ/Eastern PA area? How long is the wait to get one? I'm interested in the 5 string singlecut B. I know Chris Wood is playing a different model. Are there any recordings with him playing it?

Cliff's stuff is sharp, if you find one in Jersey... let me know. I really want to give one of his basses a spin. You could PM him directly, he's pretty active here at TB.

As far as Chris Wood goes... try Invalid Link Removed for a recent MMW show.

I guess Cliff wrote somewhere into his site that the actual waiting time is 7-9 moths anyway he will surely chime in soon. The most important thing to consider if you decide to have a bass built by him is that if he says "xx time" he won't take a day more and surely he'll keep you updated. Never have to wait more than 1/2 day to get an aswer from him. Great guy to deal with.

Yoy might want to contact NJ Guitar & Bass in Edison. I was there about a month ago and I think they had a used CB 5 string, IIRC. I might be wrong about that, though. I know I recently saw a used CB5 at some NJ shop and they would be really the only ones that would carry higher end stuff .... :cool:
