Cell phone plans / costs

AT&T I got 17% for being a full time college student. Verizon, I get a 17% corporate discount.

Seems to be the going rate cell phone companies hand out as a discount.

Check with your employer to see if they have deals with any of the major carriers.

My 17% discount is provided by the company I work for.

Ah, I see. No 17% discount with mom & pop employer. :atoz:

I have a 5 year old Tracfone which has no camera or Internet - it's just a phone. I have Double Minutes on it, so any minutes I buy are automatically doubled. I pay about $30 every couple of months for 240 minutes, which for the amount of use I put on my phone is perfectly adequate for me. I'm a light cell phone user, so a monthly plan makes no sense for me. Also, I have a digital camera and a couple of computers, so why do I need these on my phone?

Of course, YMMV.
