Question to any TB´er in the know:

I have an Eden pedal with a center positive barrel connector 15V
I also have a Yankee PSU that can have one output switched to provide 15 V, but the output is center negative.
Can I just DIY the cable; cut and switch around the leads so the center negativ goes to positive in the other end?
Why? Because I want one less wall wart

Yes. Just make sure you insulate well.

Thanks! I thought so. Properly insulated of course. After I posted I found I could buy an adapter cable that reverses polarity, but why buy when I have a cable I can DIY? I will use some red heat shrink cover to avoid confusion.

  4. Or just buy a (small) adapter, they're cheap — I've got a few for my Cioks PSU.

A friend advised me to not waste time making "tools" that can be easily bought; but where is the fun and edification in that?

    So, yeah, DIY.
