I am selling my 5 string Fodera Imperial Elite Matt Garrison Shape with an insane Koa top and chambered walnut body. These are the same specs as my main bass and its a great sounding spec. Condition is very good, it's been well cared for, other than a couple of pencil point dings, this Fodera really is in amazing condition. The bass is essentially "broken in" - these instruments really open up over time, become more articulate & open. Great Koa sounds and looks amazing, but it is becoming very rare and harder for even Fodera to source. {} {} {} {} Vinny Fodera adding mojo: {} REASON FOR SALE Cash. I've listed this for sale two times before and lifted the ads because I couldn't part with it, but now I want to raise some cash and need to let it go. PRICE Current price with options would be almost $14K. You can see the price list here: http://fodera.com/content/FoderaPriceList2016.pdf (I was not a Fodera endorsing artist when I purchased this and paid full price.) Bass Club Chicago sold very similar bass used for $10,500 last year. Price does not include insured shipping. FODERA SPECIFICATIONS -Fodera Imperial Elite Matt Garrison Shape -RIDICULOUS 3D Presentation grade AAAAA flame Koa top -Ebony fingerboard with abalone inlays -33" scale maple neck (thin/fast) w/flame maple neck center -26 small frets -Drop D tuner -Ebony ramp -Ebony pickup covers -Chambered walnut body, ash tone block -Weight is ~10.2lbs -Fodera / Duncan dual coils, pope preamp. TONE!!!! This bass can get a bright articulate tone and also a really warm, smooth, thick tone that Fodera is famous for. The Bass is setup for E-C tuning, but can be changed to B to G if you prefer. In a B to G setup, the bass has deep punchy articulate lows. Used supportively, the bass has a powerful tone, punchy and rich with a nice low mid growl. The tones that can be achieved from the 33" scale are amazing, better than some 34" basses. PLAYABILITY Capable of ridiculously low buzz free action. If you like to run the action low, I challenge you to find a bas that can play lower. Effortless.
