Change guitar music into bass solo

How do I change classical guitar tab into bass tab? Does it only matter thay I play the same note? Or will it not be the same?

I did play some classical guitar music on bass, I had to use tapping a lot to make the music happen.

Oh and read music notation, you may understand what you are doing, tab don't tell you nothing.

I'd suggest having a look at Chromatic Fantasy by Jaco, I think it was written for piano but it'd be a good starting point for transferring classical pieces onto bass
