Selling my Chapman Stick 10 string Railboard. It just doesn’t get enough play time. It is a Black anodized aluminum board with integrated fret “rails” and gold hardware. Has the r block pickup that can be run stereo or mono. This thing gets played very little and I would say is in near new condition. I just can’t wrap my mind around this instrument. It’s also just a little wide for my hands. Asking $1800 shipped in the US. Will ship with hard shell case, cord and copy of the free hands instructional book. I’d only consider trades for neck through Warwick basses.

  2. I owned a 10 string Oak Stick many moons ago. Chapman Sticks are fantastic sounding and very uniquely designed instruments. My brain wasn't big enough to play it well but I think everyone benefits from spending at least a few months wrapping their head and their hands around a Chapman Stick.

The Railboard is a step up in technology and takes Emmett Chapman's Stick to a new level of playability.

Adding a few more pics, to show off the unique neck and fret profile of the anodized aluminum board.

Been gassing for a stick for years and specifically a rail board since I heard about them. What’s the tuning?

It’s currently in matched reciprocal. Here’s a link going further into the tuning. Basically the melody strings are tuned to match the bass side.

What is the cord it comes with? A stereo xlr or 1/4” or something?
