Cheap o` gear...

So here is the deal:
I found amp+cab combination what is really cheap and you get lots of wats whit it.. Can anyone say is it wort of sh#t?
Here it goes:
BEHRINGER BX4500H for 225€ [Invalid or Expired Link Removed]
Harley Benton 410H for 180€ Invalid Link Removed
Harley Benton 115H for 155€ [Invalid or Expired Link Removed]
It makes 450w amp + 700w cabs = 560€
Cheap ass hell..
Or another one is this Behringer package for 499€ including cables (!!!) Invalid Link Removed gives the same 450w from amp and 1200w from cab.
What can you say????? For someone like me with low budjet these both are really tempting offers....

+1 on used stuff. Plus it doesnt have to be Peavey, you can get other used stuff for pretty cheap too, but peavey does tend to be undervalued and reliable as well.
I wouldn't go for the Behringer amp, it may be loud but if you care about your tone then I wouldn't really recommend it.

Too true, i got my peavey 2x15 cabinet for only £75 in full working order, I think its one of the cheapest pieces of gear i have, yet one that alot of people seem to want :D

True, there are other brands, Trace Elliot and Ashdown are good examples, they tend to be a bit more expensive than peavey stuff second hand, i suggested peavey because i have had nothing but great experiences from buying second hand peavey gear!

Totally 100% agreed, but used Peavey gear is probably the cheapest way to get a serious rig together (esp. since they've been around such a long time). But if some other piece of used gear is in your price range, try it out, you may be surprised at what brands you like and don't like. Basically, play as much gear as you can, it'll help a lot in making decisions on what to buy and make it easier to keep an eye out for good deals.

I have a Behringer 4500 head and BB410 cab and have been using it for close to 18 months now - I love it.

That said I am a fan of decent second hand gear and I looked for a second hand rig in my price range before buying new, and I couldn't find anything over here in Australia that was better than the Behringer set up at even twice the price. Everything I found was either really bad, or much lower power.

I ended up getting the Behringer and have not regretted it once - very happy with my purchase.

I now also have a Bass PODxt Live and very much doubt whether I will ever upgrade my rig to something with a 'real' name - I get the sound I want from the BOD and a PA, or the BOD and my rig. The only thing I would do differently next time would be to buy a power amp and cab instead of a full head because most of the time I bypass the preamp and use the BOD instead.
