anyone know of a cheap ukelele bass i can take on holiday with me to practice with?
Buy a baritone uke and tune it like a bass, that's what I did.
cool man whats a good cheap one
Just look around, there a a lot of them on the market. I found a 40 year old Conrad mahogany and it sounds great.
I'd get a Kala U-Bass but those are about $400. You can find them used (saw a few of them here for sale recently) for about $300 or so.
anything below 200 or lower i dont really care as long as it functions well enogh to practice on
Ukerepublic.com Id get a Mainland. I have a concert size and it's fantastic
Baritone uke tuned low... hahaha, that's exactly what I used in the 70s when I was 13, before I finally scored a loaner bass from my sister's boyfriend! Got a Mel Bay book and made the most of what was in the house!
