Cheaper Yamaha BB's discontinued?

All I can find on the web currently for sale are the $2.5k models with the fugly pickguards. Are the less expensive models gone?

Get the old ones.. They're awesome. I gig with a 78 and 79 BB and they both rule and neither was more than $430.

I think Yamaha will soon start selling the updated BB425 with a five piece neck and string through the body setup in the USA, like they already are doing in Europe. The new basses will be about $200 more.

I have a BB450 that I bought in 1987...paid $350....it's built like a tank and althoygh it is not my main bass, I still play it alot.

You can still find the BB414s on the web...you just have to poke around a bit.

I did pick up an 80's BB300 recently for super cheap. It's killer!
