I played a Schecter 5 string(i forgot the model) but i had a cheap playing feeling... am i the only that tried Schecter and didn't like them.

Checter five string... cheap playing

A model number would definitely help. It probably also depends on if it was brand spanking new, or an abused old work horse that had issues.
My Custom 5 is probably the best playing bass I've laid my hands on. I'm left handed by the way, and it's the highest end model I've ever had the chance to play on too, so I'm quite biased in my opinion.

It probably just had a bad setup. I love my Custom-5 more than anything. (Well, maybe not as much as my fretless.)
