The Lakland Owners Group (LOG) is sponsoring a GTG at the Lakland factory in Chicago in March/April.....you DO NOT have to be a Lakland owner to attend! In addition to great fellowship and the a great forum to brag about your basses and your playing ability, there will be many fun and informational happenings at this event! The Lakland techs will be available to set up your basses for a VERY reasonable fee. There will be MANY Lakland basses to try.... We hope to have a live webcast "ASK DAN" where Dan Lakin will answer questions about Lakland basses.....we hope to be able to include some of you who cannot attend throough this web cast! Of course there will be snacks an non-adult beverages! We also hope to have a few surprises! Last but not least, we will be holding a drawing for a used US Lakland! Tickets for the drawing are $60 each and each person is limited for 4 tickets. We are limiting the number of tickets to 40 so you have a great chance of winning! Also - you DO NOT have to be present to win!!! The actual Lakland will depend on the number of tickets sold. Once we have enough tickets sold, we will begin "shopping" for the bass. If there are not enough tickets sold to purchase a used US Lakland, all funds will be returned. If you are interested in obtaining one or more tickets for the drawing, PM me. The actual date for the GTG is still TBD. Dan will have some dates available after NAMM! stay tuned for more details!!!
This will be AWESOME!!! On a selfish note, I'd prefer March as we're expecting our first kid around April 11th... LOL.
**chanting** not March 28...not March 28.... My sons birthday and my wedding anniversary. I'd really like to make it to one of these!
Will keep it "simple"....4 string, fretted...other than that...it REALLY depends on how much $$$$ we raise and what we can find in great shape when we have the cash.....
Duly noted. 4/4-11 is not good for me. Spring Break. Though we are considering spending a few days in the Windy City as a possible alternative and money saver, to something further south.
