Chris Squire Amazing Tone On The Edge

I posted this on other forum but i think it should be posted here, chris squire bass tone on close to the edge it's one of the best i ever heard in my life! Do you know what gear he used back then? THere's some threads about it but it don't focus that much on the close to the edge period, specially the amps, it was sunn amps? Btw here's the isolated track with the drums

His rig kept morphing, but right around that time it would have included a Marshall Superbass head with EL34 power tubes(as opposed to KT88’s, which would sound much different)as far as I know, going into a Sunn 6x12 cab(same size as a 2000s 2x15)with their proprietary “Sunn Transducers”(probably Eminence made). Then Fender Showmans(with the larger upright 2x15 cabs, JBL’s usually) in the mix. How much he used the ‘Ric-o-sound’ split output I do not know. At some point, it’s listed that he had Sunn Coliseum heads, those were solid state, but featured a substantial EQ section for the time.

Been searching for a thread about this!
I've been trying to get into Yes for a good while. It only just occurred to me today how immense the bass tone is. Like, I'm not much of a tone-chaser but if I had this tone I think my life would feel complete. I agree with OP that this is the best tone I've heard. Just incredible.
