Chris used a Gibson EB-3(with fake tiger tail hanging from strap) up till "O&O" when we switched to a Fender Precision. Strings? Probably flats. Vox amp.
Yeah, there's a comment in the sleeve notes of O&O about him switching from his trust old Gibson for the Fender.
