All,

Looking to download a couple Muse tunes and need advise on the songs which Chris does his best work. Obviously, I'm not savvy with Muse tunes. Only heard a couple of them on the radio and really didn't pay too close attention. Probably due to the vocals (yuck).

Digging the last half of Knights of Cydonia. I believe Chris sports a Rick in this tune.

Thanks!

Liquid State is a good one from the most recent album (Chris also sings it), New Born is good for the faster stuff, I always dug Panic Station and Time is Running Out, those are more groove orientated. Unnatural Selection has some cool parts too but no crazy effects, I like Sunburn and Plug In Baby for more effect heavy stuff and Hysteria is another heavy like that. Just a few I like

In case you haven't seen it yet, I'd also recommend their Live at Rome CD/DVD. I saw it again last night on Palladia.

I watched most of it last night and downloaded the live album from iTunes! Comparing YouTube videos and live songs in iTunes, sounds like Chris' tone is a little darker with the Status than it used to be with the Rick and Fenders.

You dont like the singer?! Dude! .....anyway I am a big Muse fan, I like the fact that they are not afraid to experiment with the effects, there is a id on youtube about C Wolstenholmes gear, bigger rack than Jenna Jameson! Check it out, he has so many different combos of fx and etc, he has to have his tech control it because its so complicated, there is a TBer on here and youtube, Kaputsport, hes gotten all the gear and sounds really close, thats the guy to talk to.

Been listening to this band for 13-14 years now. He was never much of a Ric player...the first time I saw he used one was for Knights of Sedonia which he seemed to use for that one song on the tours, saw them twice and the Ric was always very thin compared to the Jazzes. Saw them live again when he was pretty much using the Statii and it sounded even larger yet.

I downloaded their Live at Rome Olympic Stadium album.......pretty rockin. I take back what I stated about their singer. My opinion was based on portions of songs I heard on the radio. His voice seemed very annoying. Not the case live.

I also caught this live performance on TV, and much prefer Chris' Jazz tone over the Status'.
