The current issue of bass player will help you. Well worth the investment of a couple of your dollars. (although that bass solo part is probably well beyond most people's skill level)
Ya I saw that solo on youtube but I'm talking about the original upright bass that is in the original song.
Another good bass part is Santa claus is coming to town by Jackson 5. Would like to find the sheet/tab for that.
I thought the Vince Guaraldi version (on upright bass) tabbed in this month's bass player was the original? Is there another earlier version?

You must be listening to the edited version, the version they tabbed has some fast lead lines on upright bass. (you can find it on youtube as well)

It's the instrumental version- very sweet- and the one that is tabbed in the bass player mag. The solo lines are in the latter part of the song.

That being said, if it's the version from the VG CD, I have it somewhere, as it's always one of my holiday favs, but I don't remember a bass solo...I'm gonna go dig it up and have a listen!

Yeah it is from the VG original, when I say solo bass I mean he plays some lead lines (there is still some other light playing from the trio) but they are very melodic, fast lead type upright lines- definetely beyond most peoples capability on electric bass.

I just found an instrumental version that wasn't blocked on YouTube...nice...I don't remember those bass parts on the CD (it's been a few years), but I think the CD was the vocal version. Either way, that's some nice playing!
I have the piano score in F, one flat, B flat, for Charlie Brown's "Christmas Time Is Here", bass and treble clef. Also includes vocals/lyrics, chords. It's all in standard notation. I have no tab, sorry. But entire tune is there for those who can read music.
I somewhat improvise on what the piano player's left hand might do, and (thankfully) play with keys man who gives me a little room.
The sheet music is not my work, so I am not posting it. I will be glad to send pdf of what I have to any email address provided.
